GFP's Gas Velocimeter allows for 3-D velocity measurements in gases at flow speeds between 0.1 - 5 m/s (with higher rates in development). These sensors allow for practical spot-measure of flow-fields where the direction of the flow is not well defined beforehand, and at reduced sizes and costs when compared to conventional bi-directional probes. Currently in development, this technology has large potential from atmospheric wind measurements, to fire plume measurement.
3-D Flow Measurement
Using patented measurement technology, GFP can provide one of the only 3-D velocity measurements in turbulated, non-isothermal flow.
GFP's propreitary method allows for inexpensive sensor design roughly a tenth of the cost of equivalent conventional devices.
