In conjunction with the US Coast Guard and teh US Department of Interior, WPI has conducted a series of large-scale field tests on GFP's Flame Refluxor in Mobil, AL, in the application of In-Situ Burning (ISB) of crude oil, to improve clean up operations of open-water oil spills.

Heatflux Sensor Awarded NIST Grant

GFP has won a competitive research grant from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for wildfire research. Collaborating with WPI and the US Forest Service (USFS), GFP will develop its Electronic Heatflux Sensor Technology into a cost-effective, deployable, and wireless sensor system for measuring heat exposures in the wildland firegrounds.
Flame Arrestor Passes ASTM Tests

GFP's Polymeric Flame Arrestor performs at top of class - passing all ASTM safety tests for use in Portable Gasoline Containers (PGC). A path towards a practical solution that reduces user risk of burns from PGCs use is now clear. GFP intends to partner with PGC manufacturers to bring this solution to market as soon as possible.
